WEDNESDAY (Week 3)
I managed 2 sessions today to make up for the one I missed yesterday. I completed a 1 hour run in the morning (approx 8 miles). I was working nightshift and managed to fit in a work out on the treadmill at 9pm - 4 lots of 1000 metres runs (fast pace) with a 1 minute jog recovery after each run.

THURSDAY (Week 2)
Took Abbie to school, picked up a bit of shopping and went for a 1 hour run at a decent pace. Completed 8 Miles this time. It was snowing a bit, but pavements were fine. First 1.5 miles felt a bit sluggish, but picked up after that - feel better for doing that one!

WEDNESDAY (Week 2)
Good chat with my friend and running partner (The G Knox) last night. Discussed our progress so far, and talked about race day arrangements.
Shorter run today - 4 Reps of 3 minuts fast, 2 minutes slow. I pushed it when going fast. I'd had porridge with honey for breakfast (I'd read about it). Did the trick!
Booked flights and hotel this morning for London Town, it was a nightmare working out where to get a hotel that had good transport links to Greenwich (starting point for the Marathon), all those in Greenwich itself are taken already. Anyway, we've got a hotel close to Dartford Railway Station - only 30 mins direct link to Greenwich. No going back now!

Monday - WEEK 2
I had my breakfast, got my haircut and ran 50 minutes Steady Pace. Approx 7 miles. Cold and Windy. Feel fine. Working towards a 10 Mile Run on Sunday, so training will build up a bit this week. Plenty of fluids to replenish afterwards - I've been advised that milk is a good one for replenishment - allows a protein release for the muscles.

Today's Run
Ran 8 Miles. Ran from Albert Pier to Mount Stuart Entrance and back this morning. Wasn't up for it at first - conditions were very cold and I was running into a strong wind. Kept going and got up to a steady pace. Feel good for having stuck to my schedule. Week 2 Starts tomorrow!
